At Make Honey Ventures, we’re here to prove that entrepreneurialism can be sweeter—and more sustainable.
We believe in building businesses that go beyond profit for shareholders—they create value for everyone. Our practice is rooted in a living-systems perspective, moving away from the reductionist economics of the past. We operate in a space where interconnected systems thrive on resilience, collaboration, and balance.
Just as ecosystems flourish through mutual support, we believe businesses should harmonise with people, the planet, and communities. True transformation happens not by working within the confines of outdated paradigms but by creating new conditions that foster thriving relationships and equitable outcomes.
If conventional business dynamics—consumerism, waste, extraction, and inequity—don’t sit right with you, the only way forward is to change the systems that perpetuate them. This requires rejecting outdated rhetoric and embracing new models designed for life to flourish, for relationships to heal, and for power to flow in reciprocity.
Our Process
At Make Honey Ventures, we focus on creating the conditions that allow systemic change to emerge—rather than fighting against the status quo to impose ‘solutions’ to ‘problems’ that cannot be ‘fixed.’ Our process is built on three interconnected pillars, designed to work together to lay the foundation for long-term impact, collaboration, and sustainability. These pillars aren’t linear; they flow and adapt, ensuring businesses evolve with purpose and agility.
Sensemaking The first pillar is about understanding the whole system—seeing the interconnected challenges and opportunities. It’s about asking the big questions, listening to diverse perspectives, and uncovering deeper insights. By making sense of the landscape, we help businesses identify the right levers for change and align their vision with regenerative, long-term impact.
Enterprise Design The second pillar focuses on designing businesses that are aligned with regenerative principles. It’s about creating models that move beyond short-term profit and foster long-term value for people, communities, and the environment. We co-design sustainable, inclusive foundations that support systemic changeat every level—economically, socially, and environmentally.
Adaptive Learning The third pillar ensures businesses stay agile and responsive as the world changes. To create lasting systemic change, businesses must be resilient—able to learn, adapt, and evolve in response to new challenges and opportunities. Through adaptive learning, we build businesses that thrive over time, continuously improving and innovating to stay relevant and effective.
We don’t have all the answers.
Instead, we bring nearly a decade of experience exploring and partnering in new spaces, learning that answers are not the goal—creating the space to be different is. The results speak for themselves. Whether it’s revolutionising farming, food systems, and health, or breaking myths and shifting mainstream ideologies, change is happening.
At Make Honey Ventures, we don’t try to force you into a mold. While other consultancies or incubators might shut the door on unconventional ideas, we celebrate them. We’re different—just like you.
Our name reflects our philosophy: Make Honey Ventures is about working together, like bees, to create something sweet and enduring. We embed regenerative economic principles, prioritising systems that nourish people and the environment for the long term.
We carve out space for bold ideas and nurture the conditions needed for transformative, grassroots impact. We believe entrepreneurialism can be a powerful force for good—one that shifts dynamics of power and sparks lasting, sustainable change.
Let’s work together to build a future where businesses thrive in harmony with life itself.
Our Partners:
Our Principles
Place-based:
We take immense pride in our roots here in Guernsey. Though this small island may feel tucked away, it’s a place where big ideas are born and nurtured, spreading far beyond its shores. From the timeless works of Victor Hugo and Renoir to agricultural innovations and textiles that have traveled the world, Guernsey’s history is rich with stories of creativity and resilience that have left a lasting impact.
At Make Honey Ventures, we too are fueled by those very same conditions—a place where ingenuity, connection, and a deep respect for life’s interwoven systems come together to spark and incubate meaningful innovation.
Living Systems Perspective:
We view businesses the same way we view nature—alive, connected, and always changing. Just like any healthy ecosystem, businesses need to learn, and adapt over time. We believe that the real value of a business doesn’t come from following a strict plan, but from the relationships and interactions that happen within it.
Like any living organism, businesses must stay flexible and adjust as things change. The diversity of perspectives and talents within a business is what makes it strong—just as diversity in nature helps an ecosystem thrive. This is why we put regeneration at the heart of everything we do: businesses, like ecosystems, can renew and replenish themselves, creating long-term value for everyone.
When we look at business as a living, breathing organism, we create something more than just a company—we create a resilient, thriving system that works in balance with the world around it, making a real, lasting impact.
Regenerative, Not Degenerative
At Make Honey Ventures, we focus on creating businesses that replenish, restore, and enhance the realtional systems they depend on. Regeneration means going beyond “sustainability” to actively improve ecosystems, relationships, and communities—turning scarcity into abundance.
Rather than extracting value, we design enterprises that create conditions for life to thrive. Regenerative models prioritise resilience, adaptability, and balance, ensuring that every action contributes to a healthier, more vibrant future for people and the planet.
Process over outcomes:
We don’t believe in chasing fixed goals or rigid paths. Instead, we focus on the journey—the process. We’re not about reaching a set endpoint; we’re about stewarding the conditions that allow people, communities, and ecosystems to thrive.
We give businesses room to breathe, to think, to adapt, and to learn. We support companies in navigating the messiness and complexity of real-world challenges, guiding them through the uncertainty with creativity and resilience.
By focusing on the process, we lay the groundwork for a future where businesses don’t just survive—they thrive.
Thriving Within Limits
We embrace a “human-scale” approach to our work—focusing on depth, connection, and quality over sheer volume or relentless growth. We recognise that true impact comes not from doing more, but from doing the right things well, with integrity and care.
This relational model reflects our belief in limits as strengths, not constraints. By working within the natural cycles of relationships and leaving space for others to create their own impact, we foster regenerative value that lasts.
For us, enough isn’t about scaling endlessly; it’s about balancing ambition with sustainability, ensuring every project is rooted in purpose and aligned with the well-being of our clients, communities, and ecosystems.
Less isn’t just more—it’s better. It’s how we create space for thriving, together.
Distributive, Not Divisive
We believe value is meant to flow, not concentrate. Distributive systems ensure that opportunities, resources, and benefits are shared equitably, empowering communities and leveling the playing field.
By rejecting divisive, top-heavy structures, we build businesses that foster collaboration and reciprocity. This approach creates a ripple effect of shared prosperity—proving that success doesn’t have to come at the expense of others, but can uplift everyone instead.
We hold space for stewards of purpose to heal degenerative relationships, shifting economics from a reductionist machine that consumes the abundance of life to one that honors it.
About Us*
*All of us…
Much of humanity exists in a manufactured calm before a wild and wonderful storm. The commodified economy is grinding to a halt, and something long forgotten is longing to be remembered
In this era, humanity’s attempts to reduce this poly-crisis into its parts has only compounded the very predicaments we collectively face. These are not problems to be fixed, but systemic relationships yet to be unraveled.
Business, politics, industry, technology, and economics—all man-made constructs—stand at a crossroads. The world, once defined by innovation, now faces relational tipping points where those very innovations are becoming increasingly obsolete.
As we search for answers at the convergence of two seemingly incompatible realms—indigenous wisdom and modern science—common ground emerged. The Earth is our buffer; we must now remember how to live in reciprocity with it.
Today, those who once trusted their intuition and those who demanded evidence now find themselves side by side on the periphery. Despite generations of indigenous peoples sharing these truths, and the now undeniable scientific consensus, both the wisest and the smartest have been pushed to the edges. Yet it is here—in these fringes, just as in nature—where true abundance and thriving are found. Tucked away in the messy spaces most avoid, a new relationship is emerging. A new paradigm is blooming.
